HQ - MatrixxHQ Matrixx Closed Cell Kitesurfing Foil Kite The Matrixx is an all-new kite from HQ for 2011/12. The Matrixx is designed to appeal to people who want to go fast, go big and go anywhere. Due to its closed cell design the Matrixx is at home on land, water and snow so there are no limits to what you can achieve on this kite. We met up with HQ in Denmark to help tune the final prototypes and collect media on the new kites. Luckily over the week we were able to fly the 9m, 12m and 15m Matrixx on land and water. The kites fly fast through the air and give a good depower range meaning you can hold onto the larger sizes for longer when the wind picks up. The 12m is surprisingly nippy for its size and capable of downloops out of big jumps. The kites turn a lot quicker when the bar is pushed away from you so they may make some time to dial into before getting the most of your new kite, this will depend on the riders experience and what kites you have previously flown. The kites do require some pre inflation when first launching and then tend to hold there air well for most of the day as you put the kite up and down. To fully inflate the kite fly it towards the edge of the wind window. Because the kite has such a good depower range the kite is extremely versatile and will suit most intermediate to advanced riders. Whether you want to go super fast in the buggy, boost on a landboard or get hangtime off waves on the water the Matrixx delivers in all areas. The Matrixx, equipped
with a super efficient profile, extra thin bridle lines and intelligent speed
system is one of the best closed cell foils in the industry. Also good in light
wind the kite also excels in boosting and hangtime.
