Snowkiting is an exciting winter sport with crosses in skill and equipment from snowboarding, kitesurfing, skiing and power kiting. Using a large kite you can explore the most remote and untouched snow – all without the need for a lift pass.<\/p>\n

At this time of year many of our locals and customers are flocking to Europe to make the most of the winter season and cheap rates currently available. If you are already kitted out for snowboarding or skiing then you are already halfway to a new experience. The biggest advantages to snowkiting are the ability to ride terrain which you would be otherwise unable to ride or get to and the lack of lift pass required to enjoy the white stuff.<\/p>\n

\"Snowkiting<\/p>\n

In terms of equipment you will need everything you need for snowboarding or skiing, and some of what you need for land based or water based kiting. You will need:<\/p>\n

  • Snowboard<\/a>\n
  • Snowboard Boots<\/a>\n
  • Snowboard Bindings<\/a>\n
  • Snowboarding Apparel<\/a>\n
  • Helmet<\/a>\n
  • Goggles<\/a>\n
  • Gloves<\/a> (not super thick so you can still feel the kite and activate the safety)\n
  • Kite Harness<\/a> or climbing harness\n
  • Depower Kites<\/a> (ideally foils not inflatables for ease of use and durability)

    If it is your first time snowkiting we recommend doing it in groups and in a well established area. It is worth doing your research on the spot before you leave to get an idea of whats under the snow, wind conditions and directions. <\/p>\n
