ATBShop Skate Warehouse visit to Westbury Skatepark Sunday 3rd June 2018
We had the weather on our side and had crowds within no time. After a few snaps with the local newspapers and chats with the local council we started off with a few competitions giving out prizes including t-shirts, flags, skatepark vouchers and a top prize of a Penny Board. With tunes pumping all day morale was high with over 100 people at the event. Team riders used the chance to show off some talent to the crowd by giving demos on scooter and BMX; Dan Wright, Louis Hous, Leon Coster, Curtis Giles and Harry Calvert boasting the potential that Westbury Skatepark already has.
Local councils were on site chatting to the users of the skatepark asking for the younger locals opinions on how to improve the park, with rumours of a new park or features to come. Local newspaper press was also on site, photographing and documenting the event for the prints.
A brilliant day was had by all at Westbury Skatepark with DJ Dom Etchells supplying the soundtrack, Harry on the Mic and our ever helpful shop riders; Dan, Louis, Curtis and Leon. Thank you to all of those that came along and joined in to make a fantastic, memorable day! Bring on the next event!
