ATBShop holds a long standing tradition of holding charity days at our indoor park in Swindon, and this term time we will be supporting the team over at the Community Health and Wellbeing centre in Swindon. They very suddenly lost one of their work colleagues – which could happen to any of us.
Here’s what they had to say about their event which we are holding on Wednesday the 31st of May.
The Community Health & Wellbeing Team is so grateful for the ATB Warehouse support in our fundraising this year.
Sadly and very suddenly, we lost our friend and colleague Jeff in August 2016, which left a huge void in our lives. He was the most caring, compassionate, considerate, funny and generous person you could meet. After he passed away we learnt a lot about him. He was a loving son to his mum and dad and a gifted writer and a committed dog sitter, going to great lengths to research the individual dogs in his care.
We learnt a lot from Jeff about being comfortable in your own skin and that above all else, kindness is king. In tribute to Jeff, we have decided to raise money for a cause close to his heart – the Dogs Trust. We have called this campaign “Starman Fund” Jeff was our Star man and it was one of his favourite songs.
So far we are up to £580, but we want to raise closer to £1000 this year.
Now with a little help from us all at ATBShop I think we can get them closer to this mark. Abbie our shop dog seems to think so after all!!
The date for the diary is May the 31st and it starts at 10am-12pm for the 10’s and unders, and then 12-3pm and 3pm-6pm for our mixed session. Price’s are the same for entry and half the money will be going to the dogs trust.
Also there will be raffle prizes on the day from FreeDog, lazer quest, Gourmet Burger kitchen and also Swindon Wild Cats.
There also be a BBQ, prizes and throw outs and competitions on the day and much, much more.
No need to book – just turn up.
