Every year we embark on two Snowboard trips to test out what next year has to offer in terms of snowboards, bindings, goggles and some boots and snow clothing to see what the best kit is for our customers.
The first board test; Avant Premier takes place in La Clusaz, France in mid January. Now for the older generation who enjoy a quite holiday with the odd bit of shopping in the local town after a day of testing kit, perhaps even indulge in the local reclette and so on, then Avant Premier is the ideal choice for you.
Now this then brings me to Spring Break.
Held at the end of April through to the first week of May in Austria as the end of season escape, Spring Break raises the bar slightly in terms of testing equipment, bodily performance in riding and overall intake of alcohol. Simply not for the feint hearted.
Last year we brought with us staff and members of the public to take on the experience, check out our video and the official video of last year’s epic event! For this year we thought we’d expand it a little more! However places are limited to the amount of vehicles at hand and each vehicle is recommended a minimum of two drivers to share the journey as it is a rather long drive! It is not mandatory to be riding with a shop as Spring Break is an open event to gain the thoughts and reviews of riders and shop owners to gain feedback on their products. If you get 3/4 people in a car then it’s super cheap trip! Want to join us check out the Snowboard Spring Break Website
Last year we saw events such as the Whitelines Rail Jam, Deeluxe, Capita, Union and 686 Skate Jam, Whitelines Party (frikken mental), Dragon Methodical Madness, Thirty Two Pinata Mermelada, Monster/ Vans Party and many, many more. Hosted by all the biggest brands in snowboarding, Spring Break consists of turning up, signing in, picking your board (out of the hundreds) followed by some bindings and goggles or whatever you want. Hitting the slopes and then reviewing what you got for snowboard magazines to use in there public reviews, followed by picking something new up and going again! Later that evening after a short retreat for some dinner, you simply hit the pubs and bars located pretty much at your doorstep. And from there, well lets just say make sure your up in the morning to catch a ride to the slopes!
The dates for Spring Break 2016 are April 30th to May 6th and prices start from an astonishing $164 per person including three nights accommodation and lift pass. So if you are interested in getting out of the house for one last blast on the slopes this season and party on down with the riders, then get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will keep you up to date on info!
