Designed for the ground up to have a advanced anatomical design to benefit the rider. The Genesis EST binding has become renowned for it's flex, feel and adjustability.
Suspension and ultimate comfort in a binding that redefines high performance.
The EST system is designed by Burton for the EST channel system which is throughout Burton's range of boards. First made available to public in 2013 and has increased in popularity over the years. Several advantages compared to the more traditional mounting design. The EST have such a small amount of contact to the board which allows for board to flex far more freely under your foot, allowing for a more responsive feel. Also allowing for quick adjustments to your stance by only slightly undoing two screws per a binding. Now the vast majority of all Burtons range are using this tech to pave the way for this style on boards from beginner to pro level.

The Burton Gensis EST doesn't just look the part, it has all the tech you would expect from Burton. Ankle strap our ultra-responsive with a stitch-less construction and minimal materials, Burton are calling this the Hammockstrap strap which is ultra responsive yet remaining super secure. Also featuring a nylon cross spine for a more direct board connection allowing for even more responsive. Supergrip Capstrap 2.0 toe strap features rubber overmold and a fully injected construction to reduce waste when being produce. Theses toestraps are designed for increased grip which is provided by the rubber which entails a more secure ride. The baseplate is a dual component construction featuring two types of materials, one underfoot and another along the lateral edges of binding. Creating a soft ride yet has stiffer edge to edge for improved balance this matched with the AutoCANT sensoryBED cushioning system. Which uses dual-density EVA to settle you and your boot to a more natural position allowing for improved board control and at the same time reducing fatigue while riding. The Hi-back of the binding allows for increased foot roll and less fatigue while riding with Burton's Kickback hammock design. That cradles your heel in a complete suspension with a combination of the internal spring tensions. The moulded hammock allows for increased response and reduced vibration which means less chatter while riding.
Quick adjustment is paramount on the mountains, Burton's have a forward lean system in place using MicroFLAD system that uses a lever for quick changes to the highback. The last thing to talk about is the buckles, and Burton's have used their Double take Buckles that offer a quick engagement for faster tongue uptake meaning that it requires less cranks to tighten your straps for a vastly improved ease of use and strength.
