The MBS Camlock Buckles are the buckle often prefered by kite flyers. It locks the binding into one position so it can't be hit or adjusted by accident. Not so popular for downhill riders who normally want the bindings as tight as possible for more control.
Kiteflyers on the other hand often found it annoying if when jumping off the board tumbles and the bindings close up with the ratchet. Then you have to undo them while holding the kite etc which can be very annoying. The camlock buckles just simply fix the strap in position so you can just slide foot in and out and it will always be the same position. Simple and effective.
