So the Slingshot Asylum has been in the slingshot range for a number of seasons but now has taken some design tips from the wakeboard side of the business to give a great all round freestyle board to use with straps or boots. This board rides super nice if you are riding it aggressively the bit more rocker in design and the ridges in the base and tips hold a line well in flatwater but also cut through rough and chop nicely. A reasonably stiff board great for riders that like to ride powered up who want to move their freestyle up a gear charge hard and boost big.The Slingshot Asylum shares the same USA build quality of all slingshot boards and is super bomb proof and quality finish.
- A board to take your freestyle game to the next level

- Pierces chop, shreds flat water
- Smooth, consistent flex w/ Bedrock Carbon Inserts
- Flexible, durable made in the USA wood-core construction
- 4 two-inch kite fins and fin screws
- Grab handle included.
Sizes of Slingshot Asylum Kiteboard:

The Slingshot Asylum comes as a package of board, fins and grab handle. You will need pads to go with it and we recommend the Slingshot Dually Pads set but any other pads or bindings will fit fine.
Base and rails:
Slingshot base thicknesses Asylum-0.4mm standard base. All Slingshot twin tips are lined with a full urethane rail, which provides dampening and protects the board form impact. For 2017, we’ve been able to achieve a broader, more vibrant range of colours for our urethane for even more visual appeal.
NACA tech laser channels:
Precision laser-cut NACA Tech channels allow Slingshot to fine-tune each board for specific performance characteristics. Channels improve water flow and board speed, grip and pop, edging and general performance and feel
Slingshot wood core construction:
Every Slingshot kiteboard is hand built in the United States, in a small factory just down the road from company headquarters in Hood River. Boards are made from vertically laminated wood cores. This process utilizes the collective strength of the wood’s end grain and creates boards with unrivaled pop, rebound and flex characteristics. Nothing beats a wood core.
NEW Carbon bedrock inserts:
In 2017 you will notice lighter boards, a more continuous flex pattern and performance that is tuned precisely for each board’s design concept. You asked for weight reduction, better flex control and increased feel. You got it. New carbon-reinforced inserts, replace the Fastrack system. The insert pull strength is increased by 30%, while the overall board weight is cut by 10%.
