Behind the graphics
Featuring artwork by RETOKA, a design studio founded by the Barcelona-based artist duo Toni López and Zara Castellanos. With a passion for exploring the possibilities of color, shape, light effects, and movement, they specialize in creating unique and innovative digital art pieces that showcase their own distinct visual language.
Board shape and design
The Chinchiller was designed in collaboration with Kyle Chin as a unique interpretation of the carving experience with a focus on comfort and inspiration for play. Subtle flex keeps the ride quality smooth but is stiff enough for more technical tricks and slides. Mellow nose and tail kicks provide ample leverage for manuals, shuvits, and other tricks while keeping the board compact and streamlined. CNC-milled wheel wells allow clearance for 65mm wheels with no risers.
A vertically laminated bamboo core is sandwiched between triaxial fiberglass skins and bio-based epoxy resin for high strength in a thin, lightweight construction. Snowboard-style top and bottom sheets add abrasion resistance and vibration damping.
